David Charvet has been amazing and amusing audiences around the world for more than 35 years.
Fascinated with magic as a youngster in Seattle, his practice of the art soon took him to international competitions
among performers where he received recognition for his novel and innovative magical effects. Today, Charvet continues to create
original mysteries, many of which are seen in MAGICADABRA.
A recognized authority and one of the world's foremost
historians of the art, Charvet is the author of a dozen acclaimed books and articles about magic history and its practitioners.
He was awarded a Literary Fellowship from the Academy of Magical Arts in Hollywood and a Literary Award from the Milbourne
Christopher Foundation in New York. His writings have also received awards from the Society of American Magicians and International
Brotherhood of Magicians. In addition, Charvet is a performing member of the Academy of Magical Arts and Magic Castle in Hollywood,
as well an an Associate of the Inner Magic Circle in London, England.
Charvet's performances have taken him throughout
the world, including appearances in theaters, clubs, hotels, luxury cruise ships and on network television throughout North
America and Japan.
Charvet combines the time-tested hocus-pocus of the golden age of magic, with modern original
mysteries, clean comedy and audience participation into a full evening of magical fantasy in MAGICADABRA.
